So yesterday was my hometowns first 'anime' ish convention which she called more of a komickon due to the just general diversity it had. We had gaming system tournaments, which seemed the most successful, as well as some car tournaments, mainly Magic. We had guest speakers and majority of my friends, myself included at least gave some sort of talk on something. As we were, though mainly Everfire, was the one that started this whole thing. There was even an artiest alley, which included, and few others that are also here on deviant art (I too lazy to worry about links)
The turn out wasn't exactly what we were all hoping for I think, but still people game, people watched and some in fact did buy stuff. I for the first time sold my art, something both amazing and nerve-racking. These were only prints and not originals, it was still awesome and sort of scary. However, the price to print them all was gut wrenching really and I had hope to sell more, but as the turn out wasn't as great, I have many prints left over and a lot of ground to over.
So I have more prints to sell (hopefully)
I even thought about selling them here on deivantart, but seeing the amount of profit I would get for some of the prints...wasn't exactly helpful. So now I'm still left with prints to sell, which eventually will either be given as gifts as they are on nice glossy photo paper, or gradually sold here and there. The first experience of selling my work was awesome, and I'm grateful to those that bought some. But there always other ways to get them out there. Not to mention there's rumors of us doing a Halloween Kon in October, which would be kewl
So I bid you all good day, and thank you fore reading my ranty ish whining journal.

Digital Coloring
My digital coloring...sucks.
I finally managed to get my tablet back to my dorm room at college. I kept forgetting it at home since last Thanksgiving so I haven't had the chance to work with it. But now that I have it, I am finding that I have a lot of work to do. My coloring is bad to put it mildly. Nothing seems to come out right and I'm disappointed in it. My Abel picture being the only real picture that was good. So I've decided to work more on my digital art when I can get the chance to do so. I have line art of my own to work on of course, but it takes forever for me to do line hart, plus my scanner is down. Sot it doesn't ex
My Little Pony...I admit it...I like it
AT THIS POINT IN TIME WELL...I HAVE COME TO TERMS WITH IT. I LIKE MY LITTLE PONY DANG IT! :faint:
HONESTLY AT FIRST I WAS JUST ADMIRING THE ART THE DA COMMUNITY WAS CREATING. SO I HAD TO AT LEAST JUSTIFY MY LIKING OF THE ART BY AT LEAST WATCHING THE SHOW. LITTLE DID I KNOW...THAT I WOULD BE DRAWN IN WATCHING IT UP TO SEASON 2, WHICH I'M STILL IN THE PROCESS OF WATCHING AND LIKING IT ...A LOT! I'M ACTUALLY DRAWING PONIES! ITS NOT THAT I'M ASHAMED AS MUCH AS SHOCKED AT MYSELF...MY LITTLE PONIES ISN'T THE SORT OF SHOW I GO FOR ON A NORMAL BASIS...CUTE AND MAGICAL ISN'T MY STYLE...USUALLY.
SO HERE I AM NOT ONLY WRITING ABOUT PONIES, BUT
Camera At Last
With the Premium Membership Day going on, I felt I should at least make a journal entry using a skin. I don't usually care so much, but I couldn't resist the temptation. Neither had I taken the time to be all excited about my new camera :happybounce:
It's not very fancy or huge...but its mine, new and a good beginner camera at least. A Nikon CoolPix, has 15x zoom, which compared to my last it was a complete difference. The pixel size escapes me at the moment and I too lazy to go look for it. But the new pictures that I put up from now on, are from the new camera. "Disney Christmas" was the first picture I took with it in fact.
I really
ART-BLOCK
ART BLOCK SUCKS HARDCORE :rage:
Never had it this bad before...it sucks so bad. Everything I draw doesn't come out at all like I want it to. So many ideas run around in my head but when I try put them on paper...it just an epic fail! :cries:
Ever since I manage to draw a picture that is very different from my normal style of drawing, as a gift for my mother, I haven't been able to draw anything successful since. I went to doodling and it still turns out as crap! With finals coming up I really don't have time to draw but drawing is such a great stress relief...that its depressing not being able to do it.
Guess I just have to push through

It'll get easier the more we do it and promote it, me thinks. ^^ Planning is already in the works, we may have a murder party. Oooo~
